For generations our peoples have used medicine or herbal supplements as a road to better health while ignoring the importance of lifestyle. If one does not change their eating habits, food choices then all the medication or supplements in the world will only go so far and at the end of the day you will still have the same problems uncorrected.
As Dr Michael Klaper likes to remark on in his practice of 40 plus years, he says it is about the food. The body will respond to supplements or medicines until it doesn't. Pain medication works, until it doesn't. So returning to the wisdom of our elders in health, Hippocrates stated that let your food be your medicine and let your medicine be your food. At the same time he also stated, 'Leave your drugs in the chemist pot, if you can cure the patient with food' He does leave the door open to opening the chemist pot and trying different things if food doesn't 'cure the patient'.
We are returning to a more natural health alternatives and we do have the absolute right to choose what kind of medical treatment we desire. At the same time do not throw out the baby with the bath water either. Western medicine has given us discoveries we could not imagine a century ago. At the same time of this modern marvel in medical science we forgot the basics of food, sleep, relaxation, meditation, spiritual health, enjoyment of life and many others. Remember these things first and the rest will, hopefully, attend to itself.
